She is currently serving the Dept. of Defense as a Systems Engineering Consultant supporting CyberSecurity Initiatives, with over 20 years of Systems Engineering, Business Development and IT Program Management Experience. To date she has managed programs collectively exceeding 300MIL value, leading thousands of people. She is committed to making the Tech industry more inclusive, diverse and equitable pushing a win-win strategy for both businesses and the workforce. She is changing the wealth dynamic by facilitating the advancement of underrepresented talent in Innovation & Technology.
Tierra who is a former basketball player, both collegiate and semi-pro, demonstrates her play calling ability by showing audiences and clients strategies for an engaged and productive workforce, aligning partnerships and increasing retention. She is a Jesus Lover, and the proud wife to Wali Lathan, who is the CEO of WTL Transportation Service. Mrs. Lathan is a graduate of Bowie State University, and a current student in the Engineering Program at the University of Maryland. Tierra loves to laugh, and have fun and be present in the moment. She has never let go of her imaginary music career but in real life she uses words to empower individuals, communities, brands and families.
